We are a leading International Company manufacturing specialty fertilizers in Italy with a tradition of more than 200 years.
MISSION
The “Area Manager – Latin America” will help the Company to be closer to the markets, support its customers, find new partners and identify development opportunities achieving budget results in terms of revenue and margin in the assigned area. The Area Manager will report to the Global Sales Director.
The Area includes: Latin America with an initial focus on (but not limited to) Argentina, Chile, Peru and Mexico. Brazil is excluded from the area.
JOB DESCRIPTION
– To achieve growth and hit sales targets by increasing the customer base and introducing new products and new technologies
– To promote the company products with a focus on innovative patented technologies
– To identify and establish the best distribution platform for the Company and its products, scouting new business opportunities and new partnerships
– To participate to the main fairs and exhibitions to promote business in the selected area
– To cooperate with the headquarter in the preparation of communication tools (leaflet, brochures, customer catalogues…)
– To elaborate and propose to the headquarter the annual sales budget and monthly sales forecasts in line with the assigned guidelines and objectives
– The Area Manager will be leading a team of 4 sales people and will be working with a Technical Manager responsible for technical support of the same Area
JOB PROFILE
– Extensive work experience in Sales Management roles like Sales Manager, Export Manager, Area Manager, Distribution Manager, Channel Manager, International Key Account, Business Development Manager and similar
– Extensive work experience in sales and business development of specialty fertilizers and biostimulants in the area
– Strong Business Development attitude and experience
– Strong capability to build relationship with new Distributors
– Agronomic studies, preferably with a specialization in plant nutrition and plant defense
– Strong decision-making attitude and capability to work in a team
– Flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing environment
– Strong intercultural communication skills (ability to interact effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds)
– Ability to work in cooperation with different teams spread all across Latin America
– Ambitious, patient but tenacious in attaining company targets
– Loyal identification with the company values (quality / work ethics / integrity)
– Languages: Fluency in at least Spanish and English language, both oral and written
– Availability to travel as required (up to 50% of the time)
